A Season of Transition: Real Life Church's Final Chapter

God has been faithful to Real Life Church for 17 years, and He remains faithful today as we announce a significant transition. While some people like change, I tend to avoid it, and change that involves losing something that's been a major part of your life for a long time is never easy.

I have always known that the day would come when I would have to step down from being your pastor, but I had assumed it would be due to age and frailty. I never imagined that my departure would become the catalyst for Real Life Church concluding our time of ministry in this community. Nevertheless, here we are.

As I have publicly stated, I want to be clear that my decision to leave RLC was based on God's calling me on to something new. It is my prayer that God will continue to bless all of you who have been a part of the RLC family over the years.

We are now in a period of rapid transition. The elders have determined that the best option to maintain a vibrant and growing gospel witness in our community is to bring RLC to an orderly end, and to gift the building and supplies we've been blessed with to a newer church in our community that has rapidly outgrown the spaces they've been renting. Thus, it is with excitement mixed with sadness with that we will be passing the baton to Great Commission Community Church at the end of November 2025.

During this transition, we will still be doing our annual Light Night outreach on Halloween during Trick or Treat in Weston. So, we hope you will all come out and participate with us. It will be a great opportunity to start getting to know some of the GCCC folks, as they will be helping us this year.

In November the first 3 Sundays will be regular RLC services, then on the 23rd we'll have worship at 10:00 with GCCC joining us and Pastor Nigel Bean bringing the message. The following Sunday, November 30th, will be RLC's last service. We'll again be joined by GCCC for worship at 10:00, with Pastor Scott Villers preaching. We plan to have a final baptism service and a combined fellowship meal after worship.

Please make plans to participate fully in these opportunities and if you don't have another church to attend, give GCCC a try. We think you'll find a loving and warm welcome when they make this building their home on December 7th.

In Christ,
Pastor Larry
